Ingredients (240 ml cup used)
- 50 grams carom seeds/ ajwain
- 50 grams grated clean jaggery / palm sugar
How to make the recipe
- Clean and dry roast 50 grams carom seeds on a very low flame. Set aside to cool
- Grate 50 grams aged jaggery or palm sugar.
- Powder carom seeds to fine powder. Sieve if needed.
- Pulse the carom powder and jaggery for a minute.
- Store it in a clean dry air tight jar. Stays fresh for about a month.
Notes
Old jaggery will have lesser scum of chemicals in it, which are used during processing. Long storage of jaggery evaporates some of these chemicals and will have not have a bad impact on us.
